HS DAY: Honoring another Strong Foundation for Students
💪"Celebrating a Stronger Foundation at its Finest."👥
Days before the celebration, the school hosted a Thanksgiving mass as an appreciation made to thank the Lord for his support and guidance to celebrate another year of the school. By all means, celebrating the 124th day as one! As a photographer, I often witness these celebrations in my camera lens. We photograph faces, expressions, and smiles; it is our way to showing how important foundation days can be.
Sometimes, celebrating the foundation means another school year ending, new chapters, new lessons, and new beginnings. By all means, it meant by having new friends, new achievement, and stronger connections.
It is as meaningful as can be. As a student-journalist, high school can be tough at first yet years passed by and somehow I'm starting to get the hang of it. Every year, every grade level— we are dancing to different steps, choreographies and musicalities competing with older / younger levels, and believe me, every year was tough.
A lot of plot-twists. Students at younger levels somehow fought for that champion title (as a grade 10 student, we were a bit far from first place, 😅). In this way, we saw how teachers tirelessly teached each grade level the steps for them to deserve the champion. Furthermore, showcasing that celebrating a 124th HS day isn't just about dancing, bands or coronations. It is also about teachers teaching student the steps with effort and dedication.
As this school year comes to an end, yet it was never the end. It will be always memorable, no matter how many celebrations pass by. The foundation is always stronger when students are learning with teachers that teach with dedication. No one can change that. 124th symbolizes that Ilocos Sur National High School had been fighting and standing as one through ups and downs for years.
